Name: Mrs. Thorson - School Counselor (4K-8th gr. Last Names L-Z), McKinney-Vento Education Liaison & Foster Care Point of Contact, and Co-Coordinator of the District's Academic and Career Planning (ACP)

Hopes & Dreams: All Students Future Ready - growing, learning, and succeeding using academic, career, and personal/social skills to develop into life-long learners leading safe, respectful, and responsible lives for the greater good.

Belief: Each student is unique and worthy of dignity, love and belonging, safety, and respect.

Experience: 30+ years in education (grades pre-K - 8th gr.) as a school counselor, dean of students, preschool director,  teacher, and a music teacher. 

Education: Bachelor of Arts (BA) - Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and a Master of Science (MS) in Education - School Counseling - Concordia University - WI. Additional coursework credits in early childhood & education from the University of ND & Carthage College.
