Bristol Welcomes Dr. Michele Schmidt

We are excited to announce a new chapter for our school district with the appointment of our new District Administrator, Dr. Michele Schmidt, who will officially begin her role on July 1, 2025. This is more than just a leadership transition, it’s the beginning of a renewed commitment to working together for the success and well-being of our students, staff, and school community.

Building a wealth of experience over her 20+ years in K-8 settings, serving as Director of Pupil Services, Director of Special Education, and as a Middle School Principal, Dr. Schmidt has a deep passion for education and a heartfelt commitment to student success. She currently serves as the principal of North Shore Middle School in the Hartland-Lakeside School District.

Dr. Schmidt believes that all children deserve a high-quality educational experience and that strong school-family partnerships are the key to student success. With a strong background in leading school improvement initiatives, strategic planning, data analysis, evaluating program effectiveness, positive climate initiatives, and building teacher leadership, she is ready to work hand-in-hand with our staff, families, and community to support every student in reaching their fullest potential.

As we plan for the 2025-2026 school year, we move forward together to take on opportunities with renewed energy and focus. With your continued support and involvement, we are confident that great things are ahead for our school!
