Getting to Know Food Service
We truly love our job and the opportunity to feed the children and watch them enjoy their meals! Unlike a lot of other schools, we still prepare, cook, and bake a lot of food right here in our kitchen. These items include homemade bread and everyone's favorite, desserts!
All of this is done while meeting Wisconsin's Department of Public Instruction's (DPI) required daily nutrition guidelines. For each meal served, children are required to receive a full serving (1/2c) of fruit and/or vegetable, along with at least two other components.
Salads are pre-made and available to students in 6th-8th grade.
