Substitute Teachers Needed
Substitute teachers are important for schools to function effectively. The teachers at Bristol School try to do “whatever it takes” to be here with your children each and every day. However, there are occasions where teachers simply can’t be in the building for a half day or more. On those occasions, we need to find coverage for their classrooms. In the past, we have had a substitute teacher list that is longer than our list is this autumn. We would like you to consider substitute teaching in our district.
To be a substitute teacher, an individual needs to procure a substitute teaching license from Wisconsin’s Department of Public Instruction. These licenses are for either three or five years. The three year licenses are granted to those that hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year bachelor degree granting institution. An individual DOES NOT have to be a trained educator to hold a three year license. The five year licenses are granted to those who have trained and graduated as teachers.
We have an incredible school here at Bristol. We are well prepared to train substitutes in what they would need to do to thrive as substitute teachers in our district. If you would consider substitute teaching here at Bristol, please contact Mr. Jeff Terry (firstname.lastname@example.org). We would welcome the opportunity to work with you on this issue.
